How the Tally push works
Vouchers travel app → cloud → local auth server → Tally, and the ERP never cancels or deletes on the Tally side.
-
Voucher saved in the app Ledger lines are ordered per handler — sundry first, then the sales or purchase account, then the rest.
-
Queued for push v2 Each voucher family has its own handler and envelope builder.
-
Delivered to the auth server The local Windows service holds the Tally connection on your network.
-
Written as an alter Re-pushes update the existing voucher instead of creating duplicates.
-
Retry on failure Sync status list with retry for both vouchers and masters.
GST & note handling
Tax lines behave correctly when a note reverses an earlier document.
-
Reverse against purchase
Credit and debit notes raised against a purchase reverse GST on the correct side rather than duplicating it.
-
Inventory vs journal notes
Item-level notes carry stock effect, journal notes stay value-only.
Financial reporting
Daily numbers without waiting for a month-end close.
- Daily P&L
- Profit and loss by day across divisions.
- Outstanding
- Receivables and payables by party and age.
- Ledger statements
- Party and account statements with print output.
- TDS
- Deduction reporting on applicable vouchers.
- Sync status
- What has reached Tally, what failed and why.
Tally Auth Server
A small Windows service that lets the cloud reach Tally on your local network safely.
- Local bridge — runs beside Tally on the office machine
- Authenticated — tied to your company, not an open port
- Queue aware — accepts retries without duplicating vouchers
- Setup guide — install and pairing steps on the downloads page
Keep Tally as the record, not the bottleneck
Enter once on the farm, and let the vouchers arrive in Tally on their own.
